Charlie Sheen has joked that he was initially uneasy by recent rumours that he had died.
The Two and a Half Men star informed The Insider that he was alarmed the news related to an entirely different sort of ‘death’.
He said: “When I heard on the news that I had died the a good amount day, I quickly ran to my PC and checked the ratings for my show.”
Recalling his reaction, he added: “Hmmm… that is odd, all the numbers appeared solid. Perhaps even up a bit.
“You can only imagine my relief when I discovered shortly afterward that they were referring to my actual literal death. That I can survive.”[ad#Google Adsense]
The actor went on to say who he swiftly phoned his mum upon hearing the false alleges to insist that he was a good deal alive.
Sheen was one of a number of celebrities who fell foul of death hoaxes after the Christmas weekend. Reps for Eddie Murphy, Aretha Franklin and Adam Sandler were all required to to deny fake death stories.
