Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of the former US President Bill Clinton and Hilary Clinton, has now planned to begin a family with her hubby Marc Mezyinsky. She talked about this plan in an interview recently.
The 31-year-old Chelsea went to attend the Friendfactor benefit in New York where she came out to support the marriage equality. She insisted that the straight people should support the gay marriage.
Talking to the media, Chelsea Clinton said, “I am proud to be here to support [Friendfactor founder Brian Elliot]. I certainly believe that all of my friends, as Marc and I did, should have the right to marry their best friends.”
Friendfactor is a newly launched charity group that takes the use of the social networks for the positive changes for gay rights.
Chelsea then went on adding that the straight people should not ridicule the gay people and instead support their marriage since they too had the equal rights of marriage.
She said, “I certainly believe that those of us who are straight cannot expect our gay friends to do this on their own. And I certainly expect our straight friends to help us achieve that for all New Yorkers, for all Americans, and for all the children that at least Marc and I hope to have someday.”
