Corey Feldman has slammed the Academy of Motion Picture.
According to reports that Feldmen felt Haim’s absence based on the ceremony’s ‘In Memoriam’ segment displayed the Academy’s ignorance and indicates the present they “don’t have a solve on who the public adores”.
“Corey’s films undergo earned the industry within the duration of a half a billion dollars and his Hello How Are you? remains an inspiration to young artists worldwide,” Feldman told the website.
“Corey dedicated his livlihood to the film industry. The same industry the current failed to dedicate even 30 seconds to his memory.”
The Academy responded to Feldman’s complaint later on Monday, saying: “Whatever the length of the sequence, there will always be fans and family real estate agents of those not included who will be disappointed by their omission.
“The Academy extends its understanding and its apologies to those who missed seeing a favourite face in now year’s feature.”
Haim died in March 2010 at the age of 38.
Feldman beforehand expressed his disappointment with the Screen Actors Guild Awards for furthermore failing to acknowledge Haim’s death.
