
Dubai airport handles record 4.31m passengers in July.The UAE airports touched new highs in the month of July as both Dubaiand Abu Dhabi airports crossed four-million and one-million milestones,correspondingly, in terms of traveler passage growth.Dubai International jagged up a solid first half with Dubai Airports announcing year-to-date passenger traffic of 22,554,445, compared to 19,397,089 in the equivalent period in 2009.Dubai International handled 197,845 tonnes of stowage in July compared to 160,289 tonnes during the same period in 2009, an increase of 23.5 percent. The airport handled 1.30 million tonnes of cargo, up 25.5 per cent.Cargo traffic enlarged 12.3 per cent in July to 36,755 tons, while airplane activities increased by 10.1 percent, the state-run facility said in an emailed announcement yesterday.
