A magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred at 9:06 a.m. today in central Oklahoma.

Ken Luza, engineering geologist at the Oklahoma Geological Survey in Norman, said families felt the quake based on information from Tulsa to Norman.
Luza said he has not heard any damage reports.
The epicenter was 6 miles east of Norman, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
“It came in loud and solid on all of our seismic stations and we are checking all of our equipment now,” said Randy Keller, director at the Oklahoma Geological Survey.
Emergency responders suffer asked people not to hire 911 unless they are injured or have substantial damage to report.
Cleveland County Undersheriff Rhett Burnett said people experience flooded the Cleveland County 911 center with calls.
