It has been learnt from the sources that the 50 years old comedian is having talks with the administration to host the 84th Annual Academy Awards to be held early next year in February 2012.
The reports reveal that the famous Oscar producer and movie director Bret Ratt Ratner has been chewing up the meetings with the members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and will be holding a meeting with them on Tuesday to get this job done for Eddie.
Eddie, as per the sources, shows keen interest in hosting the giant fiesta.
The two stars, who would not be considered or shortlisted for the post, include Anne Hathaway and James Franco.
