George Michael considered rendering legal action over comments made by a producer about HIV in 2007.
According to reports, George Michael who producer Ross Wilson said that Michael had refused a HIV test, stating that the singer finds “the wait for possible results too harrowing” and expected a ensured outcome.
Michael later queried for footage from the BBC documentary Stephen Fry: HIV and Me to be cut into the future of transmission.
Asked by a Twitter follower why he performs not follow Fry, Michael responded: “I’m afraid I have my reasons. But you might have to ask Stephen what I ought to be disappointed about.”
He continued: “Believe me I was a fan, I exceptionally liked him. I have to explain, Stephen did not anything directly, but his producer stated somewhat publicly that was such a dreadful lie I concept almost legal action. And I was shocked that, given the nature of our friendship until then, Stephen never called me to explain or distance himself from the liar. I was only frightfully decrease such a yet a different gay man seemed happy to let me hang out to dry for the entertainment of homophobes.”
The 47-year-old added: “Having said that, I nevertheless are certain Stephen is a lovely man… and a huge talent.”
However, constructed aware of the comments, Fry tweeted Michael: “George, I’m basically distressed to think such a somewhat when incorrect over the doc. All I understood was that you’d decided not to be included in the doc. That’s literally all I know. Is there more. So sorry to see you upset about this. Do email xxx .
Michael has not yet publicly responded to Fry’s message.
