The Federal Communications Commission has openly placed a series of images and documents sent to it by Apple; they are documents ranging from calibration checks to photographs of the inner mechanism. Apple appealed that these pictures not be placed for 180 days, but obviously that appeal was denied.
iFixit used the chance to examine not only the WiFi iPad, but the 3G description as well. They’re still redistribution the consequences of their scrutiny of the teardown, but following are some of the highlights:
