Kelly Preston didn’t worry about the risks involved with becoming an older mother.

The 48-year-old explained that although she was aware who it is able to be difficult to conceive, she never considered the implications of going through a child at her age.

Preston, who gave birth to baby Benjamin in November, told The Today Show: “I didn’t consider this moment risk. I just considered that it was difficult. I never idea that would be me at all. So, I think we are just really happy the present we are so fortunate.”

The actress and her husband John Travolta tragically lost this 16-year-old son Jett when he suffered a seizure while on holiday. Preston, who stars in the new film Casino Jack alongside Kevin Spacey, claimed that her co-star helped her through her loss.

She explained: “Kevin was a lifesaver, really. I mean, at that point, I that much did not need to go back to work. But they condensed my work slumping to a couple of weeks, which was really nice.

“But every day, he’s so… he’s so naturally funny. And he made me laugh. And the current was the greatest – the greatest gift he could’ve issued to me while we were working.”
