It has been announced that Neil Patrick Harris would be hosting the 65th Annual Tony Awards. Previously he has hosted the Tony Awards in 2009 and the producers had then decided to enlist the man to once again host the awards’ function.
His first hosting the same awards has brought him the Emmy Award for the Outstanding Special Class Program.
His friend Jesse Tyler Ferguson has got much happier and approved his hosting for the Tony Awards. Jesse has enacted in a number of Broadway productions including the ones – On the Town and The Twenty-Fifth Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
On his Twitter page, he has mentioned his feelings for the friend Neil Patrick Harris, “Congrats to @ActuallyNPH for returning as host of the 2011 Tony Awards. He was brilliant a few years ago and will be brilliant again.”
The nominations for this year’s Tony Awards have already been announced earlier this week. South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s Comic Musical is leading with 14 nods.
On CBS, the 65th Annual Tony Awards will go on air live from New York City’s historic Beacon Theatre on June 12th
