New York’s JFK Airport has been well in news today and this is because of the snowstorm that hit the city rather the country. The heavy snowstorm on the East Coast has simply coerced the closure of New York area airports including the JFK airport causing more than 1400 flights which have been canceled.
The Port Authority in New York has made the announcement of the closing of JFK (John F. Kennedy International airport) on late Sunday night.
The authority said, “Weather conditions at JFK Airport have caused disruptions in flight activity. The airport is currently closed. Please check with your airline before traveling to JFK to determine if your flight is affected.”[ad#Google Adsense]

Although the airport will re-open but the airlines are of the view that the flights will start working on Tuesday. In the New York area, around 20 inches of snow has been witnessed.
