Shayne Ward embarrassed to watch his new video

Shayne Ward has admitted that he was too embarrassed to watch his new video when it was shown to journalists for the first time.

The singer, who appears with his top off in the promo for ‘Gotta Be Somebody’, claimed that his highest label had liked shirtless photoshoots he had done.

“They say sex sells,” he imparted upon Metro. “I’m getting used to it but it’s still a bit embarrassing. I did an album playback for journalists – they played the video at the end of the session and I had to leave the room because it starts with me with no top on.[ad#Google Adsense]

“You do not really want to be staring at yourself amongst no top on in a room full of people.”

The 26-year-old confessed that he was nervous about stripping off.

“[It was] nerve-wracking at first due to the fact that I’m not one to be whipping my top off,” he said. “I put a lot of work in at the gym and ate the proper food to get where I am.

“We did a shoot and the reaction at the record company was great. Since next whenever I’ve done a shoot they have told me to get my top off.”
