Allen wrote in his recent post that the Google+ is seeking to compete Facebook, which currently have around 800 million users. Facebook is being expected to generate nearly $100 billion next year by an initial public offering. It was said by Larry Page on October 13 that Google+ has more than 40 million registered users.

Allen claims himself unofficial statistician to the Google+ service. Though Allen showed an expected figure of 400 million users by 2012 (year end rather), but is he measuring active users? Facebook does it very well. Actually only overall registered users are being measured or expected by Paul B. Allen for Google+ and he is simply ignoring active users.
