Sir Elton John protest the planning concur

Sir Elton John deciding whether to protest the planning concur granted to a Gypsy and Traveller site just recently a few acres from his Windsor home.

The Sunday Telegraph alleged that when contacted roughly the proposed venture, one of the singer’s closest friends reacted with “horror”.

Last week, 300 of John’s neighbours staged a mass protest at the village day centre.

One resident informed the paper: “Everybody has got to suffer a place to dwell but if they could just make a home in a civilised manner and pay taxes like everyone else in the village.”

The struggles of the Taveller community in finding accommodation were documented in last week’s episode of Channel 4′s Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, which drew six million viewers.
