Is handing over a death sentence or execution in all its darkened beauty is right or wrong? This question as it seems will hang over our heads forever but if a person has done a crime so powerful that it shakes the hell out of others not so near or near to him or her, then what is its punishment? This in itself is a question that needs an answer.
Well, we do not know if death penalty will ever be illegal in our country but for the Virginia state and the first ever lady in a century that they executed last night named Teresa Lewis, the answer to this question bears no meaning whatsoever now. The Teresa Lewis was a forty one year old woman who was executed last night because of a hideous crime that she did some years ago in which she plotted up to kill her husband as well as her step son with the help of her lover. The court was quite clear in its decision regarding the death penalty that they handed over to the Teresa Lewis but the case remained in jeopardy as the lawyer of the defendant claimed that the Teresa was on the borderline of mental illness and just had an IQ of seventy two indicating the fact that she is not at all mentally fit or in her senses and she should not be given a death penalty. But the court overruled and handed her over the death penalty which was given to her last night.
