It is basically a Independence Day in the United States the reason is, it is a celebration of the starting of a new circumstances of government.
Once In France, kings and queens ruled. Many of peoples very angry about the decisions of King and Queens.
The Bastille was a prison in France which the kings and queens often exhausted to lock up the families that did not satisfied their decisions.
It was also a symbol of all the bad decision and things done by the government (King and Queen).
On July 14, 1789, all the famous peoples of French families are gathered and stormed the Bastille.
The United States celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence as the coming of the American Revolution,
The people in France celebrate the storming of the Bastille as the starting of the French Revolution.
Both Revolutions brought top notch changes. Kings and queens no longer rule.
